On October 1, 2016, Atlanta Wedding Band hit the road to the Northwest corner of Georgia to the picturesque, DeBarge Vineyards in LaFayette, GA for the nuptials of Whitney and Eddie Kimpel. Atlanta Wedding Band’s own Marshall Coats and Seth Watters kicked off the evening with a beautiful duo of classical acoustic guitars. Songs performed included the bridal party entrance, “We Bought a Zoo” by Jonsi, Whitney’s beautiful entrance, “Down in the Valley” by the Head and the Heart, capped off by the processional, “As I Am” by Paper Bird.
The reception included some momentous first dances including, “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton, “How Sweet it Is” by Marvin Gaye, and “Daughter” by Loudon Wainwright.
After some lovely toasts for the new bride and groom, guests were ready to shake a leg, flooding the dance floor, glow toys in tow! The reception band, fronted by Marshall Coats, John Thrasher, Travis Jones, and Seth Watters began to rock out. Some notable covers from the night included the artists, Prince, The Temptations, the Lumineers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Wonder, MC Hammer, Dobie Grey, the Righteous Brothers, Christina Aguilera, Al Green, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Walk the Moon, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Old Crow Medicine Show, Tom Petty, Steve Miller Band, the Eagles, Garth Brooks, TLC, Van Morrison, Ben E. King, to name a few.
What a great way to kick off our busiest month of the year!
