On a blustery winter afternoon on December 17, 2016, Atlanta Wedding Band hit the road for 550 Trackside, Lawrenceville, Georgia for the wedding of Emily and Brian Kim.

For the ceremony for these two lovebirds, Atlanta Wedding Band’s own Nate Sexton and Seth Watters performed as a classical acoustic guitar duo.  The three songs for entrances and exit played by this dynamic duo included beautiful instrumental versions of Train’s “Marry Me”, Eidelweiss’s “Sound of Music”, and Christina Perri’s “1,000 Years”.

After the ceremony the reception band stepped up which included Marshall Coats on Lead Guitar and vocals, Nate Sexton on vocals and bass, John Thrasher on guitar and vocals, and Travis Jones on drums and vocals.  The first dances kicked off the reception with our fantastic bride and groom dancing to the King’s Harvest classic hit, “Dancing in the Moonlight”, then Emily danced with her dad to Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are”, and Brian and his mom danced to “Have I Told You Lately” by Rod Stewart.

Then two hundred or so of Brian and Emily’s closest friends and family dined on a fantastic dinner while both Korean and Chinese interpreters assisted the band for communication, how cool!

After dinner was completed, this crew was ready to dance!  Notable bands covered during reception included Walk the Moon, the Temptations, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Edwin McCain, Michael Jackson, Cheap Trick, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Loggins, Montell Jordan, Journey, Lit, Chumbawumba, Third Eye Blind (the hit of the night!), Christina Aguilera, Bruno Mars, Marvin Gaye, the Chainsmokers, to name a few.

Atlanta Wedding Band would like to sincerely thank Brian and Emily for having us out to 550 Trackside for their awesome wedding! Thanks for stopping by, see you next time folks!

Very Sincerely,

John Thrasher (Atlanta Wedding Band)
