MARSHALL COATS: Lead Singer, Guitar (Also – Sax, Vocals, Bass, Drums, Trumpet & Keys/Piano)
“Ever since he could walk Marshall Coats was playing an instrument. His father owned (and still owns) a music store, so there was never a shortage of available musical toys. At the ripe age of 10 years old, MC had his first live gig, and since then, he’s never looked back.”
Marshall’s first love was piano, later picking up drums, then guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet, and the list goes on. After high school, he studied Music Composition at GC&SU, where he wrote and arranged music for concert orchestra and small ensembles. He has since been part of several national touring bands on various instruments and performed on various national television programs including Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, and David Letterman. He teaches multiple instruments and disciplines in Atlanta to all ages. He believes education is about leading the way to one’s own passion.
In Atlanta Wedding Band, Marshall’s effortless and natural ‘MC’ing skills and lead singing, flat out, makes people want to shake and move. With over 150 weddings under his belt as of mid 2018, Marshall has the innate knack to making any reception interactive between audience and band, and always takes the party to the next level.
