On October 29, 2016, Atlanta Wedding Band hit the road to Cedar Plantation in Acworth, Georgia to perform the wedding ceremony and reception of Jason and Rebecca Pancoe.
The ceremony was performed on the picturesque terrace of the Plantation with Atlanta Wedding Band’s own Seth Watters and Marshall Coats on dual classical acoustic guitars. The bridal party and family led off the entrances to Pachelbel’s classic, “Canon in D”, our beautiful and radiant bride, Rebecca, then ambled down the aisle to the very popular “1,000 Years” by Christina Perri. After officially tying the knot to rousing applause, Jason and Rebecca processed to “Fire and the Flood” by Vance Joy.
Jason told me, from our initial consultation, that this was going to be a rowdy time and everyone would be getting after it. We have many of our brides and or grooms have the same sentiments in the months leading up to the big day. But wow, no one we’ve ever worked with has been so right.
Flanked by his West Point buddies, as well as Jason and Rebecca’s many friends and family, the dance floor was nuts from the first song to the encore! The reception band included Marshall Coats on Guitar and Vocals, John Thrasher on Guitar and Vocals, Travis Jones on drums and vocals, and Seth Watters on Bass and Vocals. Some memorable covers from the night included “Kiss From a Rose” by Seal, “Semi Charmed Life” by Third Eye Blind, “My Own Worst Enemy” by Lit, “Tubthumping” by Chumbawumba (yes, we played that.), and a monumental encore of “Closing Time” by Semisonic.
We’d like to thank the folks at the beautiful venue, Cedar Plantation, for having us.
And of course, Jason and Rebecca, y’all are the best, thanks so much again for letting us share this night with you!
Until next time folks!
Very Sincerely,
John Thrasher (Atlanta Wedding Band, Manager, Founder)
