There was palpable energy as Atlanta Wedding Band took their early afternoon load in at the quaint Rivercrest Lodge in Apalachicola, Florida.  Could the roof of this lodge actually be levitated from its own foundation?  AWB toted their heavy hitting five-piece comprised of Matt Palmer (Guitar/Vocals), Gemille Walker (Vocals), Kyle Seitz (Guitar/Vocals), Travis Jones (Drums/Vocals), and Daniel Winn (Bass) to find out.

It’s couples like Katie and Brenton Hitchcock that remind us why we love what we do.  Evidently in love, gracious hosts, inclusive, energetic, and ready to throw down and crowd surf to the Killers at the drop of a hat.

The day kicked off with an airy, almost ethereal classical acoustic guitar duo performed by AWB’s own Matt and Kyle.  Katie and Brenton’s selections/taste were on point and excellent.

Wedding Party/Family Entrance – Ave Maria

Bridal Entrance – Canon in D

Bride and Groom Exit – “The Dog Days Are Over” (Florence and the Machine) Love this pick!

The reception followed and from the first downbeat, this crew was ready to throw down!  The rain did not hold back this raucous party of Brenton and Katie’s 300 nearest and dearest from laying down one of the most epic dance floors in AWB history!

Here were some of Brenton and Katie’s awesome picks.

Bridal Party Introduction Songs – Stayin Alive (Bridal Party), Uptown Funk (Brenton and Katie)

Reception Songs

I Want You Back – Jackson 5

All These Things That I’ve Done – the Killers (Check out Brenton crowd surfing captured on this video!)

Matt Palmer, John Thrasher (Atlanta Wedding Band)

PS – And thank you so much for this AWESOME review!

If you saw the video of the groom crowd surfing while rocking out to the Killers that was me 🤘🏻 we found these guys and had an AMAZING experience. They gave us exactly what we needed and sounded better than the creators of the famous songs themselves. Katie and me would recommend them to anyone and thank you for helping make our amazing day even more special!
