On 7/30/16, Atlanta Wedding Band hit the road to a familiar town, Dahlonega, GA to Montaluce Winery to perform for the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception of Michael and Alyssa Harley.
Michael and Alyssa, from the beginning, were an absolute pleasure to work with; extremely friendly, flexible, and most importantly excited about this awesome night we had the honor of sharing with them.
The ceremony was performed by Marshall Coats and Seth Watters on dual classical acoustic guitars. The bridal party entered gracefully to a beautiful rendition of “Feel the Love” by Rudimental featuring John Newman. Our beautiful bride, Alyssa Harley, ambled down the aisle to the classic, “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan. The “I do’s” were shared to rousing applause from Michael and Alyssa’s friends and family and they exited to the processional, “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. When our couples pick music this good, it makes our job very easy!
The reception was kicked off and highlighted by some memorable first dances including Alyssa and Michael’s first dance, “Brighter than Sunshine” by Aqualung, Alyssa and her father’s first dance, “Father and Daughter” by Paul Simon, and Michael and his mom concluded by dancing to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.
The Dinner Hour was performed on Montaluce Winery’s grand piano by Atlanta Wedding Band’s own Marshall Coats. Toasts were then shared to laughs and a few tears, and the dancing commenced!
This was one rowdy, fun crew of Michael and Alyssa’s closest friends and loved ones. Some notable artists covered from the night included Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift, Ben Harper, Eddie Money, Rihanna, Tom Petty, and a rousing, fist pumping encore of “Don’t Stop Believin by Journey.
