On a mid-summer’s day in early July, Atlanta Wedding band hit the road for Asheville, North Carolina to celebrate the union of Bobby and Jackie Wildermuth.  Bobby first contacted us in late 2016 and we immediately hit it off after discovering our mutual admiration for the music of the 1990’s.  Bobby, believe it or not, actually plays bass in a 90’s band!

Atlanta Wedding Band featured Travis “Silver Fox” Jones on drums and vocals, Marshall “Feau Hawk” Coats on Lead Guitar and Vocals, John “The Mayor” Thrasher on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Nate “Future” Sexton on Keys, Lead Guitar, and Vocals, and Seth “Sethery” Watters on Bass and Vocals.

As the rain poured down at the front end of the celebration, MC John Thrasher informed Bobby and Jackie’s closest friends and family of the “theme” for the night… “In life, you either wait for the storm to pass, or learn to dance in the rain”.  And dance they did!

From the opening song “Beast of Burden” by the Rolling Stones, to the final epic encore, sending Jackie and Bobby off into the night, “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey, the rain did not hold these party animals back.  The tent didn’t hurt too!

The first dances for the evening included…

Bride and Groom – “How Much Light” by Ryan Adams

Mother and Son – “You Can Close Your Eyes” by James Taylor

Father and Daughter – “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra

Another MAJOR highlight of the evening was when Bobby and his bandmates took to the stage as a powerful trio to perform a standing ovation prompting cover of “Purple Rain”.  The rendition was so good we all were worried we might have lost our jobs!

Atlanta Wedding Band would like to thank Bobby and Jackie Wildermuth, as well as their parents for having us.  We’d also like to thank our wedding planner for the evening, Dominique Bedrosian of Smash Events Inc.

Until next time!
